Peggy Fleming grew up in Monterey, California, and has lived in Washington, DC since 1959. Retired from the National Park Service, in 1994, she was a Park Ranger, vegetation management specialist.

2000: "Assignment: CUBA" Maine Photographic Workshops. Two weeks in Havana, Cuba. March. Three themes: a woman and her family on the peso economy; a woman and her family on the dollar economy; life and architecture on "Cuba" street.

1993: "Black Mosaic, Washington, D.C." Smithsonian Institution Associates. Two weeks interviewing and photographing people who own and work in ethnic markets and restaurants in Washington, DC for 1994-1995 exhibit at Anacostia Museum, DC.

1990: "Crow Family Reunion, Crow Indian Fair, Crow Agency, Montana" Smithsonian Institution Associates. Documented the reunion. Photographs are at the Human Studies Film Archives, Smithsonian Institution, DC and Little Big Horn College, Crow Agency, Montana.
